Pool Solar Panels

Summers right around the corner, do you have a pool in your backyard? Millions of Americans suffer from inflated electricity bills around summertime due to all the extra pool use and required heating/cooling depending on the time of day. These electrical costs can easily be subsidized with the installation of pool solar panels. Up until now, solar technology was considered too primitive to be used on a wide commercial scale and sold to consumers. The installation and set up costs for the photovoltaic (solar) panels were much too high to justify the investment for lower energy costs. Now, however, these costs have significantly gone down and many consumers are installing solar panels on their homes already, and there’s no reason you shouldn’t buy some pool solar panels in time for summer!

Solar panels can convert energy from the sunlight (in the form of photons) into usable electricity through the use of arrayed solar cells (photovoltaic cells). Photovoltaic technology is being actively researched and there are billions being poured into alternative energy as we speak in order to make solar energy more feasible on a large scale. Typical solar panels are given a guarantee that they will function for 30-35 years on average. The warranties that come with solar panels guarantee 90% output during the first 10 years and approximately 80% rated output during the second 10 years. Currently, solar panels are considered too expensive to cover the roof of every typical consumer, but some tech-savvy consumers have already picked up pool solar panels that will help subsidize their electric bill when they decide to use the heating feature of their pool. The best part is that when it comes to solar energy, you only have to pay once for the panels, and not monthly to an electricity company. The benefits to solar energy are great and the negatives are almost nonexistent, so, to the future!
